students-2-285Kenya Highlands Evangelical University seeks to admit a broad constituency of students who demonstrate maturity of character, vitality of Christian experience, and promise for academic and vocational success. Such qualities are reflected in students who have laid a solid foundation in their secondary school experience, not only by developing their intellectual potential, but by shaping their moral character and life purpose in a direction consistent with the philosophy of Christian liberal arts education.

Consideration is given therefore, to personal qualities of character as well as academic achievement in reviewing applicants for admission. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the campus in order to experience first-hand the academic and character standards forged at KHEU. Faculty, staff, and students are eager to complement the information in this catalogue with a personal perspective.

Admissions Requirements

Since Kenya Highlands Evangelical University is an educational institution supported and operated by the Africa Gospel Church in partnership with World Gospel Mission, it has a commitment to function first and foremost to service its constituency throughout the broad ministries of the church. However, the University is non-discriminatory regarding gender, ethnic group, denomination, physical ability or economic status, in its policy of student admissions provided candidates for matriculation into its programmes are sincerely desiring quality evangelical Christian education, meet the academic and other entrance requirements, and are willing to submit to the policies and ethos of the University.

Admissions Procedures

Application for admission should be requested in writing and include a copy of the student’s national exam results. Interested students are advised to request application information from the Registrar after the 1st of October, and all completed application materials must be received by the University no later than 15th July to be considered for the annual September term intake. (Only returning or transfer students may be considered for entry in other school terms.)
